COMMUNITY-BASED LEARNING AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA IN LOCAL STUDIES TO DEVELOP LIFELONG LEARNING SKILLS FOR MATHAYOM SUKSA FOUR STUDENTS

Abstract

This study aimed to 1) examine lifelong learning skills of Mathayomsuksa 4 students using community-based learning and electronic media, 2) compare learning achievements of Mathayomsuksa 4 students before and after studying Nong Chok, Bangkok Sud Burapha lesson through community-based learning and electronic media, and 3) study productive competency in electronic media task of Mathayomsuksa 4 students after using community-based learning and electronic media. The participants included 35 students in Mathayom 4/8 enrolled in the second semester of 2019 school year from Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) 4 School, Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2, Nong Chok District, Bangkok. The research instruments consisted of 1) lesson plans, 2) Lifelong Learning Skills Questionnaire, 3) Lesson Test about Nong Chok, Bangkok Sud Burapha, and 4) Rating Scales for Productive Competency in Electronic Media Task. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and t-test dependent.
The findings were as follows: 1) Mathayomsuksa 4 students’ overall lifelong learning skills were often performed after using community-based learning and electronic media. 2) Mathayomsuksa 4 students’ learning achievements on Nong Chok, Bangkok Sud Burapha lesson through community-based learning and electronic media were significantly higher than those before learning at the 0.05 level. 3) Mathayomsuksa 4 students’ productive competency in electronic media tasks after using community-based learning and electronic media was at a good level.
