THE STUDY AND EVALUATION OF THE POTENTIAL OF ECOTOURISM SITE, KHOK KRUA FOREST, CHUEN CHOM DISTRICT, MAHASARAKHAM

Abstract

These exploration targets were to 1) evaluate the potential of the Khok Khao Forest ecotourism site, 2) compare the variations between expectations and perceptions of tourists, and 3) propose development guidelines for the development of ecotourism at Khok Khao Forest, Chuen Chom District, Mahasarakham province. The example gathering of 178 people who made a trip to Khok Krua Forest by utilizing
G*Power program to set the example. Insights were utilized to examine the information, including mean, percentage, standard deviation, Paired t-test, Importance-Performance analysis: IPA, and likely evaluation from the ecotourism standard appraisal.


The outcomes demonstrated that the site potentials were: 1) there is a fascination for the tourism and learning of nature. 2) There is precise administration and a characterized zone of utilization, 3) there is an assistance place that gives traveler data and comfort to sightseers. Furthermore, the community partakes in sorting out the tourism activities. The expectation and perception, they were found the overall score was high; the highest score was the destination image. The Guidelines for the growth of ecotourism in Khok Khao Forest, Chuen Chom District, Maha Sarakham Province. All concerned to Khok Paeng need to change and pay attention to signs clearly and operate food and beverage stores efficiently and sufficient for tourists in the area. 2. Pay attention to the weaknesses of the site, including the need for facilities for the disabled, has Isan cultural show and enough services, such as parking, sufficient toilets to attract and visit visitors.
3. To retain the charm of the local people. And the needs of local cultural values, hospitality, environmental conservation. And there are interesting things, such as hiking, because it's an opportunity and the strength of tourist attractions.
