THE ETHICAL PRACTICE IN ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS OPERATIONS TO STRENGTHEN THE BUSINESS SURVIVAL

Abstract

This article aims to 1) study concepts of ethics and theories of business ethics and 2) study implementation of ethics in organizational operations for business survival. It is found that ethics involve righteous behaviour and integrity. Ethics also concern the principles of religions which are aimed at people to be high-minded, do not exploit or insult anyone. The concepts and theories of business ethics consist of 1) Utilitarianism, 2) Kantian business ethics, 3) concepts of rights, and 4) Theory of justice. Currently, business operations require social responsibility for the business survival and sustainability. Furthermore, the implementation of ethics is essential for the organizational operations, namely employees’ performance, marketing, information technology (IT), and environmental conservation.
