THE STUDY OF TOURIST’SATISFACTION AND PERCEPTION TOWARD VISITING AYUTTHAYA HISTORICAL PARK, PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE

Abstract

ABSTRACT


The objectives of this quantitative research were to: 1) study tourist’s satisfaction toward visiting Ayutthaya Historical Park in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; 2) study the perception of tourist visiting Ayutthaya a Historical Park in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; and 3) study Thai tourist’s decision making of visiting Ayutthaya Historical Park in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The sample group consisted of 400 Thai tourists visiting Ayutthaya Historical Park. A questionnaire was applied as a research instrument. And the statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation.  


The findings were as follows. 1) The satisfaction of tourists visiting Ayutthaya Historical Park are religious belief, being declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a historical story, and Ayutthaya World Heritage Fair; 2) the perception of tourists visiting Ayutthaya Historical Park are reputation, religious belief, a favorable light, and historical and archaeological destination, and 3) the tourist’s decision making to visit Ayutthaya Historical Park are divided into 2 types of factor: internal and external factor. The first one consists of individual way of life, and lifestyle, and the another one is the destination readiness: restaurant, accommodation, souvenir shop, tourist activity, transportation route and travelling sign.
