THE GUIDELINES OF HEALTH TOURISM DEVELOPMENT OF EUROPEAN TOURIST IN PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aims to study; 1) the health tourism component of European tourists in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, 2) to study the patterns of health tourism development of European tourists which suitable for Prachuap Khiri Khan province,
3) to study the guidelines of health tourism development of European tourist in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. The research method used in this study was a qualitative research method integrating with a quantitative method for obtaining complete data. And the questionnaire was complete by 200 samplings of European tourists who visit Prachuap Khiri Khan province with the snowball sampling methods, the statistical analysis methods are frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. The semi-structured interview was for 10 samplings from government, private organization, community and academic people in tourism field.


The results found that; 1) The health tourism component of European tourists in Prachuap Khiri Khan province the accessibility is at the high level, amenities, ancillary service, accommodation, attraction and activities, respectively. 2) The pattern of health tourism development of European tourists that suitable for Prachuap Khiri Khan province are;  should have a campaign on the conservation of natural resources more than it used to be and should support more community participation, including practicing English for the community to support European tourists who are likely to increase in the future. 3) The guidelines of health tourism development of European tourist in Prachuap Khiri Khan province can be summarized in 4 ways as follows:
 1) Guidelines for international standardization development  to raise the standard of health tourism products and services to be international to support European tourists traveling to the area in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. 2) Innovation development guidelines to create awareness about health tourism products and services to support European tourists when they travel to Prachuap Khiri Khan province. 3) Guidelines for developing the identity of local wisdom to promote local wisdom when European tourists travel to Prachuap Khiri Khan province, and 4) Guidelines for the involvement development should focus on cooperation from all sectors to jointly develop health tourism products and services for European tourists.
