FACTORS AFFECTING THE ATTITUDE TOWARD THE TEACHING PROFESSION OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS, FACULTY OF EDUCATION IN VALAYA ALONGKRON RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY UNDER THE ROYAL PATRONAGE PATHUM THANI

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the attitude toward the teaching profession of students in the Faculty of Education in Valaya Alongkron Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. 2) To study factors affecting the attitude toward the teaching profession of students in Faculty of Education in Valaya Alongkron Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The research sample consisted of 306 elementary students in the Faculty of Education Undergraduate in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University and student were studied in the second semester of the 2559 academic year. The instrument used was a questionnaire measuring factors affecting the attitude toward the teaching profession of students in Faculty of Education in Valaya Alongkron Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.938. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Analysis of correlation and causal relationships model using with statistical program.
The research findings were as follows:
1) the attitude toward the teaching profession of students in the Faculty of Education Undergraduate in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University were high in all aspects. The highest was instructional processes, then teaching professional status and the expect toward the teaching profession respectively.
2) the results of the causal relationship analysis of factors affecting the attitude toward the teaching profession of students in the Faculty of Education. The teaching atmosphere variable were significant variables had the highest direct influence on the attitude toward the teaching profession of students in the Faculty of Education. The path coefficients was 0.23, then the family support variable was 0.20, motivation variable was 0.17, the correlation between teacher-student interactions was 0.14, and the good role model of a teacher was 0.13 , respectively. The causal model accounted for 82 % of variance in the attitude toward the teaching profession of students in the Faculty of Education Undergraduate in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University The causal model fitted the empirical data. ( =0.00, df = 0, p-value = 1.00, RMSEA = 0.000)
