The Monitoring And Evaluation of Professional Learning Community (Plc) Development Activity of Educational Network Agencies, Funded by the Teachers Council of Thailand in the Fiscal Year 2020: A Case Study of Thaihaad School

Abstract

         The aim of this research was to monitor and evaluate of Professional Learning Community (PLC) development activity of educational network agencies, funded by the Teachers Council of Thailand in the fiscal year 2020: A case study of Thaihaad School. The network in question was the ThaiHaad School Network under the Office of Secondary Education Area Samut Sakhon-Samut Songkhram, with 44 participants comprising 30 teachers, 11 school administrators, 1 education supervisor, and 2 university lecturers. The operation was divided into 2 main parts: 1) coaching and mentoring, and 2) monitoring, follow-up, and evaluation. The research findings revealed: 1) ThaiHaad School successfully conducted professional development activities according to the objectives specified in the project proposal for grant funding, which included: 1.1) Developing students' English communication skills, 1.2) Enabling students to communicate in English, 1.3) Professional development and finding strategies to enhance students' English communication skills, 1.4) Professionally developing capabilities to plan and solve teaching and learning issues effectively, and 1.5) Ensuring participants could use English communication skills efficiently in their professional and social daily life. 2) The evaluation of the professional learning community network’s activities by university lecturers covered: 2.1) Readiness, 2.2) Process, and 3) Outcomes.
