The Development of the Road Safety Management Model by Using the Mechanism of District Quality of Life Development Committee to Drive Participation for Network Partners in Kaeng Khoi District of Saraburi Province

Abstract

          The research aims to develop of the road safety management model. By using the mechanism of the district quality of life development committee to drive participation for network partners in Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province. Use a participatory action research model. The study is divided into 3 phases: Phase 1: Area context study, analyze the situation and operation of road safety. Phase 2: The development of road safety management model with the participation of network partners. Phase 3: Evaluate the development of road safety management model.The sample population is the sub-district quality of life development committee with a specific selection of 130 people. Analyze data with descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Qualitative data uses content-based analysis techniques.
          The results showed that the road safety management model using mechanisms district quality of life development committee drives network participation. Consists of 5 steps: 1) Expanding the network to the sub-district level 2) Participation development build partnerships and ownership 3) Development of information management system, return of information to the area, 4) Capacity development of network partner working group teams, support operations, 5) Appreciation, create performance value and motivation. The results of the assessment of the development of the model showed that effective road safety management was implemented. The overall assessment results showed an average score of 3.63 at a good level,  and after implementation it was found that  the death rate from road accidents decreased 6.98 percent. In conclusion, the road safety management model Efficient As a result, the death rate from road accidents can be reduced.
