The Factors Affecting to Operation of Community Enterprises in Ban Khai District of Rayong Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were to study 1) social and economic conditions of community enterprise members. 2) Community Enterprise Operations. 3) Factors Affecting to Operation of Community Enterprises. 4) Problems and recommendations related to the operation of community enterprises.The 175 sample Structured interviews were used for data collection. Statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, minimum, maximum, standard deviation and multiple regression analysis.
           The results indicated the following: (1) Most of the community enterprise members were female with average of age 57.83 years and finished primary school. The average duration of membership in community enterprises was 6.63 years. The reason for joining community enterprises was that most of them need additional income. The average income from business operations of community enterprises was 16,842.86 baht/year. The establishment of community enterprises was mainly due to community solving problems together. Most of the funds come from raising funds from members in the business. Average duration of business 8.26 years. Most of them carry out crop production activities and training to educate members on average 1.82 times/year. 2) The operation of community enterprises at a high level on issue budget management, organizational structure, member participation. 3) The Factors Affecting to Operation of Community Enterprises on issue education level and income from community enterprise operations. There was a statistically significant difference (p< 0.001). 4) Problems in the operation of community enterprises at a high level. On issue, summarizing the minutes of the meeting for members to know thoroughly. Recommendations should report financial information and summarize for the members to know thoroughly.
