The Development of Mobile Application for Screening Test Kindergarten Students at Risk Students with Learning Disabilities in English Reading

Abstract

           The purposes of this research were 1) to Investigate the context and problems on screening test kindergarten students at risk students with learning disabilities in English reading; and 2) to develop mobile application for screening test kindergarten students at risk students with learning disabilities in English reading. The sample groups in this research were divided into 2 groups, including 1) 10 educational experts to identify the instrument validation with purposive sampling; and 2) 50 kindergarten teachers in Ayutthaya province with multi-stage random sampling. The research instruments were consisted of 1) structured questionnaire, 2) screening test kindergarten students at risk students with learning disabilities in English reading, and 3) mobile application for screening test kindergarten students at risk students with learning disabilities in English reading. The statistics used in data were percentage, mean, standard deviation. The findings were as follows 1) the overall context and problems on screening test kindergarten students at risk students with learning disabilities in English reading were at moderate level. (x̄ = 3.02, S.D.=1.16); and 2) the overall mobile application evaluations with 5 aspects, including the content, performance, application design, application organization, and utilization were at very high level.  (x̄ = 4.62, S.D. = 0.41) This result was statistically significant difference at .05 level.
