Perceiving and Living with Covid 19 in the Changing Economic and Social Situations

Abstract

          The objectives of this study were to investigate the conditions of Covid 19 infection affecting Thailand’s economy and society, and predict the trend of the situations to suggest adjustments during the long-term economical and social crisis. As the Covid 19 infection conditions were fast and serious, affecting economy, societies, politics and people’s ways of life worldwide, the governments of each country including Thailand took measures to prevent and monitor the Covid 19 pandemic. Public health organizations have put full effort to take care of the patients and tried to find efficient ways to treat them since the first wave in January, 2020 until the current fifth wave, which tends to reach the sixth wave soon. World Health Organization states that Omicrons will not be the last strain of virus, so Covid 19 crisis may inevitably have an impact on long-term economy and society. However, Covid 19 in Thailand has not only negative but positive impact; consequently, within the crisis there is an opportunity if we learn and adjust ourselves, we can find ways to survive and live with Covid 19.
