Knowledge and Understanding towards the Personal Data Protection of the population in the Bangkok

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were 1) To study the level of knowledge and understanding of personal Data Protection of the population in the Bangkok. 2) To compare levels Knowledge and Understanding towards the Personal Data Protection of the population in the Bangkok. Classified by individual factors. The sample group used in this research was 400. The questionnaire was used as a research tool. processed with a ready-made program The statistical values used in data analysis consisted of percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test, with a statistical significance at the level of .05. The results showed that the sample group had a moderate level of knowledge and understanding of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) on the results of the hypothesis testing showed that the sample group who had different gender, age, occupation, income, social media and the channels for knowing personal data protection laws were different, had no different knowledge and understanding of the personal data protection law (PDPA), except income, education level and the frequency of using media with knowledge and understanding of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). with statistical significance at the level of .05.
