The Development of Multilingual Media from Local Culture Using Collaborative Reading Strategics of Primary School Students Schools under the Local Administrative Organization Yala Province

Abstract

          This research examines the condition, problems and approaches of multilingual communication from local culture. using collaborative reading strategies of primary school students Schools under local administrative organizations Yala Province. The purposes of this research were 1) To create and find effectiveness Multilingual media and Collaborative strategic Reading according to 85/85 standard 2) to compare English, Melayu and Thai Reading before and after using Multilingual media and Collaborative strategic Reading for Grade 4-6 students at Tessabal 4 (Tonwity) School and 3) To evaluate the satisfaction by using Multilingual media and Collaborative Strategic Reading for Grade 4-6 students at Tessaban 4 (Tonwity) School.
          The research model was experimental. The samples group were grade 4/2, 5/2 and 6/2 students who were studying in the second semester of the academic year 2020 at Tessaban 4 (Tonwity) School Mueang Yala district Yala Province, 50 people by using the specific selection method. Time spent in operations for 2 week. There are 4 types of research tools were 1) achievement test 2) English lesson plan 3) Satisfaction questionnaire and 4) Multilingual media. The statistics used for data analysis are as follows: IOC, Reliability, Discrimination, Difficulty, t-test dependent by using a computer program to process data for analysis.
          The research results indicated that:
          1) results of English, Melayu and Thai Reading skill before and after learning about A Day in the Park using Multilingual media and Collaborative Strategic Reading having higher learning achievement after studying score is 6.96.
          2) The results of the comparison of the results of English, Melayu and Thai Reading skill before and after learning about A Day in the Park using Multilingual media and Collaborative Strategic Reading having post-learning achievement higher than before learning at the statistical significance of .05
          3) The results of the sample satisfaction evaluation on the use of Multilingual media and Collaborative Strategic Reading showed that students were satisfied at the highest level (x ̅= 4.09) Which is higher than the threshold
