An analysis of journal citation in research articles by personnel of King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok which published in the international journal

The purpose of this research were to study journal citation analysis in research articles by personnel of King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, the focus being on list of journals, frequency, age, publisher/database, accessing to full-text article and to compare the cited journals with the subscribed journals by Central Library. The population in this research were 880 research articles published in international academic journals during the year 2015 to 2018. The results found that the total amount of journal citations were 19,813 items. There were 3,366 cited journal titles, the most cited journal was ‘Advances in Difference Equations’, the journals with the frequency of citing 1-5 times was the highest number, the most cited journals was the journals aged 0-5 years, and the most of cited journals were in ScienceDirect database. In accessing the full-text article, it was found that most of cited journal can be access (58.03%). When comparing the list of cited journals with the list of subscribed journals by the Central Library, it was found that there are 966 titles (28.70%).
