ปัจจัยทางจิตสังคมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเสพติด ในเยาวชนชายที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับชาย Psycho-Social Factors Related to Substance Use Behavior among Young Men Who Have Sex with Men

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to study the interaction effects association between situational and psychological trait factors associated with substance use behavior and to study the power of predicting factors associated with substance use behavior among young men who have sex with men. Total of 405 young men who have sex with men (YMSM) were randomly selected by simple random sampling from bars, saunas, parks and entertainment venues where YMSM normally congregate and socialize in Bangkok. The questionnaires were used for data collection. Two-way ANOVA, and multiple regressions were used for inferential statistics. The research findings were as follows: 1) The interaction effects on substance use behavior found statistically significant between parent model’s perception on substance
use and future orientation and self-control (F=99.18, p=.000). 2) The interaction effects on substance use behavior found statistically significant between peer model’s perception on substance use and sensation seeking (F=11.77, p=.001). 3) The interaction effects on substance use behavior found
statistically significant between media model’s perception on substance use and sensation seeking (F=79.88, p=.000). 4) The interaction effects on substance use behavior found statistically significant between family’s relationship and future orientation and self-control to substance use behavior
(F=12.44, p=.000) and 5) The factors which could predict the most of substance use behavior among YMSM at .05 level of significance respectively, were future orientation and self-control (β= .58), parent model’s perception on substance use (β=.33), peer model’s perception on substance use (β=.27),
family’s relationship (β=-.31), and perception of the severity of substance use (β=-.71). All 5 factors could predict 70% of the variance (SE=1.83) of substance use behavior among young men who have sex with men.

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปฏิสัมพันธ์ร่วมระหว่างปัจจัยที่มีต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเสพติดและศึกษาปัจจัยในการทำนายพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเสพติด ในกลุ่มเยาวชนชายที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับชาย กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ เยาวชนชายที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับชายจำนวน 405 คน ซึ่งได้มาจากการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบง่าย จากสถานบันเทิงและสถานส่งเสริมสุขภาพ
เฉพาะทางของกลุ่มเยาวชนชายที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับชายในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร เก็บข้อมูลจากแบบสอบถามและใช้สถิติการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนสองทาง และการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยพหุคูณ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ร่วมระหว่างการเห็นตัวแบบบิดามารดาด้านการใช้สารเสพติด กับลักษณะมุ่งอนาคตและควบคุมตนที่มีต่อพฤติกรรม
การใช้สารเสพติด (F=99.18, p=.000) 2) มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ร่วมระหว่างการเห็นตัวแบบเพื่อนด้านการใช้สารเสพติดกับความรู้สึกแสวงหาสิ่งตื่นเต้นเร้าใจที่มีต่อพฤติกรรม การใช้สารเสพติด (F=11.77, p=.001) 3) มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ร่วมระหว่างการเห็นตัวแบบจากสื่อด้านการใช้สารเสพติด กับความรู้สึกแสวงหาสิ่งตื่นเต้นเร้าใจที่มีต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเสพติด (F=79.88, p=.000) 4) มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ร่วมระหว่างความสัมพันธ์ในครอบครัว กับลักษณะมุ่งอนาคตและควบคุมตนที่มีต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเสพติด (F=12.44, p=.000) และ 5) ปัจจัยที่สามารถทำนายพฤติกรรมการใช้
สารเสพติดของเยาวชนชายที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับชายอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ได้แก่ ลักษณะมุ่งอนาคตและควบคุมตน การเห็นตัวแบบบิดามารดาด้านการใช้สารเสพติด การเห็นตัวแบบเพื่อนด้านการใช้สารเสพติดความสัมพันธ์ในครอบครัว และการรับรู้ความรุนแรงของการใช้สารเสพติด ด้วยค่าสัมประสิทธิ์การทำนายเท่ากับ .58, .33, .27, -.31 และ -.71 ตามลำดับ ปัจจัยทำนายทั้ง 5 ตัวสามารถร่วมกันอธิบายความแปรปรวนของพฤติกรรมการใช้สารเสพติดของเยาวชนชายที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับชายได้ร้อยละ 70 (SE = 1.8)
