Abstract

The objective of this study was to study the effectiveness of the growth-mindset development program. This research employed a quasi-experimental design. The sample comprised 40 non-governmental organization staff in Bangkok, equally divided into experimental and control groups. The instrument included 1) the growth-mindset development program and 2) the growth-mindset assessment tool. Data analyses used MANCOVA and repeated measure ANOVA. The post-test and 1-month follow-up results revealed that non-governmental organization staff who received the growth-mindset development program had a higher growth mindset than staff who did not receive the program. Moreover, staff who received the program in the post-test had a higher growth mindset than the pre-test, and were stable in the 1-month follow-up. The implication of this study reflects that the growth-mindset development program is sufficiently effective to improve the growth mindset of non-governmental organization staff. Therefore, non-governmental organizations can apply for this program in the human resource development (HRD) department.
