Giant Freshwater Prawn Business Management in Thoeng District Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to study the giant freshwater prawn business management in Thoeng district, Chiang Rai province. The questionnaire was employed to gather data form 50 giant freshwater prawn farmer in Thoeng district, Chiang Rai province. The statistics used for analyzing data were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The finding revealed that the giant freshwater prawn business management in Thoeng district, Chiang Rai province as a whole at a high level. When consider each aspect was production management that followed by financial/accounting management, human resource management and marketing management respectively. In part of the comparison of the giant freshwater prawn business management classify by farming area and business duration, it revealed that 10 rais or less than the farming area had business management more than 11-12 rais, 21-30 rais and more than 31-40 rais. For the business duration more than 10 had business management more than 5 years and 6-10 years.
