An Analysis of Costs and Returns of Lucky Bamboo of Agriculturists in Pong Pha Sub-district, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to analysis of cost and return from Lucky Bamboo of Agriculturists in Pong Pha Sub-district, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province. The data from this research were collected by interviewing 54 agriculturists. Studying academic references and related research were included to get information about production cost and revenue for analyzing the return, using the breakeven point method, payback period method, net profit to cost ratio method, net profit to sales ratio method and return on investment (ROI). A research has discovered that for Agriculturists in Pong Pha Sub-district, Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai Province, the cost on investment consisted of initial capital investment and operating expensed, which was partly the initial capital investment of 7,539.29 baht/rai. However, the cost of care 7,084.68 baht/rai, cost of storage 1,174.80 baht/rai and Transportation cost 2,745.72 baht/rai. Average cost was 18,544.49 baht/rai with a total return of 25,832.28 bath/rai. While the average net profit was 7,287.79 bath/rai. By a feasibility research and analysis, it showed that in the breakeven point was 0.51 tons. The payback period of 7 year 24 days. Net profit to cost ratio was 39.30% while net profit to sales ratio was 28.21% and return on investment (ROI) was 13.81%
