An Analysis of Costs and Returns from Animal Corn of Agriculturist in Sathan Sub-District, Chiang Khong District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study cost and return from animal corn of Agriculturist in Sathan sub-district, Chiang Khong district, Chiang Rai province and 2) to analyze the cost structure and return from Animal Corn of agriculturist in this area. The sample consisted of 131 participants who were agriculturist in Sathan sub-district, Chiang Khong district, Chiang Rai province. The questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection. The results of the research showed that the average cost was 4,229.48 Baht/rai while the average net profit was 5,311.29 Baht/rai. Costs for animal corn comprised 3 important costs which were 13% of raw material cost, 32% of labor cost, and 55% of production cost. Net profit to cost ratio was 20.36%.
