Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the "Factors effecting for Laos Employee Retention in Multinational Corporation (MNC) in LAO PDR.". This study was a survey research by using a questionnaire for surveying the opinion as called the Likert Scale with five-point scale. The sample group was composed of 571 Lao employees who worked in Multinational Corporation for at least 3 years. The collected data were analyzed with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling: PLS-SEM.
The result was that the employee engagement and employee satisfaction influenced on the employee retention of Lao employees in Multinational Corporation in Lao PDR. This means that in order to enhance retention of Lao employee in Multinational Corporation in Lao PDR, there must be a creation of mental engagement by making employees be happy, be proud and pay attention to them for working in the organization and must create a continuous employee engagement by providing good welfare, appropriate compensation and good colleagues including create employee engagement norms in the organization by creating employee loyalty to organization. The second aspect on creating employee satisfaction consisted of the compensation satisfaction by making the employee satisfied in their compensation which is suitable for their works and knowledge. The satisfaction in career advancement included the career advancement opportunities, the fact that the employees are encouraged to develop their skills and that supervisors support them to show their knowledge and capabilities, and their achievements in the past. The satisfaction of the supervisor's performance included a good relationship between employees and supervisors, the fact that supervisor understood in employee’s operational problems, gave them advice and support at work, and the fact that employees got the fairness from supervisors and that employee’s supervisors had knowledge, capability and understanding on work well. The employee satisfaction on nature and conditions of work included the satisfaction with the assigned tasks.
