การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์และสังเคราะห์ปัจจัยแห่งความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและเอกชน ในการยกระดับการพัฒนาโรงเรียนประชารัฐ ผู้ให้ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารระดับสูงหรือคณะทำงานจากบริษัทเอกชนที่เข้าร่วมโครงการผู้นำเพื่อพัฒนาการศึกษาไทยที่ยั่งยืน จำนวน 12 คน ผู้แทนจากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ จำนวน 12 คน และผู้บริหารโรงเรียนประชารัฐที่มีผลการประเมินการพัฒนาโรงเรียนประชารัฐ จำนวน 12 คน รวมทั้งสิ้น 36 คน คัดเลือกผู้ให้ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการเลือกแบบเจาะจง การเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้การสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วมและการสัมภาษณ์แบบมีโครงสร้าง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการสร้างข้อสรุปแบบอุปนัย
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ปัจจัยแห่งความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนเพื่อยกระดับการพัฒนาโรงเรียนประชารัฐ ประกอบด้วย 5 ปัจจัย ได้แก่ 1) การมีวิสัยทัศน์และเป้าประสงค์เชิงรุกร่วมกัน 2) การใช้ทรัพยากรร่วมกัน 3) การมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน 4) ภาวะผู้นำที่คล่องแคล่วว่องไว 5) ระบบสนับสนุนและกำกับติดตาม โดยสภาพแวดล้อมภายนอกที่เอื้อต่อความร่วมมือ ได้แก่ การสนับสนุนเชิงการเมือง ค่านิยมทางสังคม และความก้าวหน้าทางเทคโนโลยี เอื้ออำนวยให้การดำเนินงานระหว่างองค์กรภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนบรรลุเป้าประสงค์ที่กำหนดไว้ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและมีประสิทธิผล
