Effects of Learning in Physical Education Scaffolding on Responsibility and Forehand Drive Skills in Table Tennis

The purposes of this study were to study the effects of learning physical education using scaffolding on responsibility and forehand drive skills in table tennis among lower secondary school students. Samples were 80 lower secondary students who had qualified characteristics to be representative of the population in this study. Samples were equally divided into 2 groups which were an experimental group and a control group. Research tools were a responsibility test and a forehand drive skills test. Data analysis was conducted using mean score, standard deviation, and t-test. The findings were as follows: 1) there was a significant (p > .05) improvement of average scores for both responsibility and forehand drive skills only in the experimental group; 2) the average post-test scores of responsibility and forehand drive skills in the experimental group were higher than the control group (p > .05).
