A Study on Academic Achievement among First-year Students at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University in the Thai Language for Communication Course through Blended Learning as Part of the General Education Course Requirements

The objective of this study is to examine academic achievement among first-year
students at Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University in the Thai Language for Communication
course through blended learning as part of the general education course requirements.
Samples in this study comprised 76 students. It was found that the average achievement
result was 7.09 (M = 7.09) with a standard deviation of 1.31 (SD = 1.31). The means of the
pre-test and post-test were 16.58 and 19.20, respectively. The results illustrated that the
difference between the pre-test and post-test was significant at .05, The study also revealed
that the areas the students found most satisfactory included opportunities to share
knowledge, ideas, and opinions with their classmates. Added to this was the optimized
blended learning environment equipped with various activities that allowed the students
to engage in the study, gain deeper understanding and better recall of the contents, and
develop knowledge and understanding by themselves with M = 3.85 and SD = 0.69. The
areas they found satisfactory included an inclusive, learning-friendly classroom environment,
and in-class activities that promoted the sharing of knowledge and views as well as enabling
the students to make friends and work well with others
