การสร้างสรรค์ดนตรีไทย: แนวคิดและแนวทางการเรียนการสอน

Abstract

      Thai musical creativity, one of the important aims of Thai music instruction, is the ability of the person based on creative thinking. Thai musical creativity is considered from three dimensions: 1) personal dimension, 2) process dimension, and 3) productivity dimension. Thai musical creativity includes the improvisation of the Thai musical melody and Thai musical composition, differing in detail and complexity. The guidelines for promoting the ability of Thai musical creativity consist of five principles: 1) practicing the melody of the Thai traditional song, 2) building basic knowledge about Thai musical creativity, 3) presenting an example of various Thai musical melodies, 4) providing regular opportunities for students to create Thai musical melodies on their own, and 5) experiencing listening to a variety of Thai musical songs. This guideline is one of the approaches to apply for promoting the ability of Thai musical creativity, especially in the context of formal education.
