Abstract
The objectives of the research were 1) to study the conceptual framework of Teacher Development to enhance Desirable Characteristics of Primary School Students. 2) To examine the current and desirable states of Teacher Development to enhance desirable characteristics of Primary School Students. A descriptive method was used. Conceptual Framework was assed by six experts. The samples was comprised of 379 primary schools under the office of basic education commission. The respondents were school directors or vice school directors, head of personel management, head of academic management and head of group learning. The research instuments consists of questionaires and conceptual framework assessment. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistic to acquire mean, frequency, percentage and standard deviation. The finding were as follows: 1) The conceptual framework of teacher development to enhance desirable characteristics of primary school students was composed of (1) Teacher development comprising Organization- based, Individual- basesd, Role- based and Trainer-based. (2) The model of enhancing students desirable characteristics called PRIME Model comprising Priority, Relationships, Intrinsic Motivation, Modeling and Empowerment. (3) Desirable characteristics comprising Good citizen, Morality according to King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s teaching, Moral competencies and Public mind. 2) the current of teacher development to enhance desirable characteristics of primary school student was at a moderate level and desirable states of teacher development to enhance desirable characteristics of primary school students was at the highest level. The desirable states of teacher development to enhance desirable characteristics of primary school students was higher than the current of teacher development to enhance desirable characteristics of primary school students.
