THE STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODEL OF FACTORS INFLUENCING ADMINISTRATIVE EFFECTIVENESS OF TECHNICAL COLLEGES IN NORTHEASTERN OFFICE OF THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION COMMISSION

Abstract

The research was designed  1) to develop the linear structural relationship model of factors influencing Administrative effectiveness of Technical colleges in Northeastern office of the vocational education commission and 2) to explore the direct, indirect and total effects of factors influencing Administrative effectiveness of Technical colleges in Northeastern office of the vocational education commission. The stratified random sampling was employed for 33 Technical Colleges under Northeastern Office of the Vocational Education Commission the participants,were 3,149 and sample were 656 persons included the principals and teacher from each college. The research was conducted by using a 5-point rating scale to collect the data.  The earned data were analyzed to obtain Mean, Standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.  Besides these statistics, LISREL 8.52 was used for the Skewness, Kurtosis, and confirmatory factor analysis then tested the consistency between the hypothesis model and the empirical data. The research findings were revealed as follows:


  1. The linear structural relationship model of factors influencing Administrative effectiveness of Technical Colleges in Northeastern Office of the Vocational Education Commission was perfectly fitted with the empirical data. The model could be described by these statistic indexes gif.latex?\chi&space;2=82.99, df = 85, p-value = 0.54, RMSEA = 0.00, SRMR=0.015, GFI = 0.99, AGFI = 0.96 CN = 885.68

  2. The direct, indirect and total effects of the factors influencing Administrative effectiveness of Technical Colleges in Northeastern Office of the Vocational Education Commission were showed evidently according to the influencing coefficients. 1) Core Leadership skills and the direct effect has 2 factors: Learning Center Leadership which the influencing coefficients were 0.33 and 0.27 respectively.  2) Core Leadership skills with the indirect effect to the Quality Assurance Operations and Organizational Climate which the influencing coefficients were = 0.50. Furthermore; the direct effect has 2 factors: Learning Center Leadership has the indirect effect to the Organizational Climate and the Quality Assurance Operations which the influencing coefficients were = 0.4.  And 3) The Total effect has 2 factors: Core Leadership skills, and Learning Center Leadership with the influencing coefficients at 0.33 and 0.27 respectively.

                According to the predictive power (R2), it was distinctively revealed that all of the variables in the model were predicted the Administrative effectiveness of Technical Colleges in Northeastern office of the Vocational Education Commission 87 percent.
