Abstract

This research aimed to 1) compare Primary 6 students’ learning outcome of learning achievement
on Electricity and Magnetism learning unit before and after the lessons with STEM Education and
2) compare Primary 6 students’ learning outcome of learning achievement on Electricity and Magnetism
learning unit after the lessons with STEM Education against a 70 percent criterion. The sample
group was selected by cluster sampling. There was 30 of Primary 6 students from a classroom in
Radomwittayanusorn School in Sung Neun District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province under Nakhon
Ratchasima Primary Education Service Area Office 4 in the academic year 2016. Research tools were 7
STEM Education plans covering 14 hours. Data was then collected through 1) a test and 2) students’s
tasks. Statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test.
Research findings showed that :-
1) After the lessons with STEM Education, Primary 6 students’ learning outcome of learning
achievement on Electricity and Magnetism learning unit was higher than before the lessons with
statistical significance at the .05 level.
2) After the lessons with STEM Education, Primary 6 students’ learning outcome of learning
achievement and scores students tasks of the learning unit on Electricity and Magnetism was higher
than the 70 percent criterion with statistical significance at the .05 level. STEM Education is a process
to encourage learners to discover the real problems themselves, make understanding the problem
solving process. and collect information and ideas related to problem solving, as well as assess the
feasibility of problem solving. Plan and solve problems as planned. Focus on applying knowledge to
solve real life problems.
