Guidelines for Developing Digital-Age Academic Administration of Educational Institutions Under the Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the components and indicators of digital-age academic administration in schools 2. to investigate the current conditions, desirable conditions and priority needs of digital-age academic administration in schools under the Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 and 3. to develop guidelines for enhancing digital-age academic administration in schools. This is a mixed-methods study combining qualitative and quantitative research. The research instruments consisted of a questionnaire, an assessment form and an interview form. The sample comprised 338 participants, with the sample size determined using the Krejcie and Morgan (1970) table, followed by stratified random sampling. The target group consisted of 5 individuals selected through purposive sampling. The data collected from the questionnaire and assessment form were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, and standard deviation, along with comparative analysis, while the interview data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that 1) the components and indicators of digital-age academic administration in schools consisted of 6 components and 35 indicators 2) the overall current condition was at a moderate level (x̅= 3.45, S.D. = 0.48), while the overall desirable condition was at the highest level (x̅= 4.96, S.D. = 0.19). The overall priority needs index was 0.45. The aspects with the highest to lowest priority needs were as follows: (1) development of digital-age school curriculum (2) instructional management in the digital era (3) development of modern learning processes (4) digital assessment and evaluation (5) integrated educational supervision and (6) development of media, innovation and technology and 3) The synthesized development guidelines were compiled into a development manual consisting of 6 units. The evaluation results of the manual indicated that its overall appropriateness was at the highest level (x̅= 4.64, S.D. = 0.52), and its overall feasibility was also at the highest level (x̅= 4.70, S.D. = 0.47).
