Developing a Program to Enhance Teacher’s Teamwork in Schools under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office MahaSarakham

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the current conditions, desired conditions, and necessary needs for teacher's teamwork in schools under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Maha Sarakham, and 2. to develop and evaluate a program to enhance teacher's teamwork in schools under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Maha Sarakham. This research is a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative research. There are research tools, which are a questionnaire and an interview. The sample group consisted of 317 school administrators and teachers, determined by the sample size table of Krejcie and Morgan (1970) and Stratified Random Sampling. The target group comprised 6 participants selected purposively. Data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the Priority Needs Index (PNI), whereas data collected from interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The results showed that; 1) the current state of teamwork among teachers was moderate (x̅ = 3.26, S.D. = 0.75), while the desirable state was at the highest level (x̅ = 4.79, S.D. = 0.41). The necessary needs of teacher's teamwork in schools, from highest to lowest, were: Participation in Operational Activities, Shared Goals, Collaboration and Constructive Conflict Management, Support and Mutual Trust, and Communication, respectively and 2) Developing a Program to Enhance Teacher's Teamwork in Schools under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office Maha Sarakham consisted of: principles, objectives, and content across five modules: Module 1: Shared Goals, Module 2: Participation in Operational Activities, Module 3: Communication, Module 4: Support and Mutual Trust, and Module 5: Collaboration and Constructive Conflict Management. The program was implemented through training, study visits, and hands-on practice based on the 70:20:10 development principle. The evaluation covered pre-and post-program knowledge assessments. The overall evaluation of the program indicated that its suitability was at a high level, and its feasibility was at the highest level.
