Participatory Learning Management in Sports Management and Exercise for Careers Class to Promote Unity among First-Year Higher Vocational Certificate Students

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to develop participatory learning management in order to promote students’ unity and achieve the efficiency criterion of 75/75 2. to compare the learning achievement of first-year Higher Vocational Certificate students before and after instruction and 3. to study the unity of first-year Higher Vocational Certificate students who learn through participatory learning management. This study is quantitative research. The research instruments consisted of a learning management plan based on participatory learning, an achievement test, and a student unity behavior scale. The sample group consisted of 263 students, and the experimental group consisted of 40 students selected through cluster sampling. The data collected from the research instruments were analyzed using statistical methods, including percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the t-test (Dependent Samples). The research findings revealed that 1) the participatory learning management model developed to promote unity among students demonstrated an efficiency of 78.00/75.66 which exceeded the established criterion 2) the post-test mean scores of the students were significantly higher than their pre-test scores at the .05 level and 3) overall, the students who participated in the developed participatory learning management exhibited unity behavior at a high level (x̅= 4.10, S.D.= 0.17)
