Skill and Motivation Factors Affecting the Digital Accountant’s Adaptation in the Eastern Region

Abstract

This research consists purposes to study skills and motivation factors affecting the adaptation of digital accountants in the Eastern region. It is a quantitative research with research tools such as questionnaires. The sample group is the head of the accounting department. Accounting officers in the eastern region of 373 people by calculating the sample size according to the formula of Taro Yamane (1973) while using Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation for data analysis and using correlation coefficient analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that Skill factor overall level was at the highest level (x̅ = 4.31). It was found that skills, knowledge and expertise in the accounting profession had the highest average (x̅= 4.34) There were opinions about motivation. overall at the highest level (x̅= 4.32), it was found that career progression had the highest average (x̅= 4.34) and opinions about the adjustment of accountants in the digital age. The overall level was at the highest level (x̅= 4.30), it was found that the relevance of decision making and the speed of operation had the highest average (x̅ = 4.33) The results of the hypothesis testing revealed that skills and motivation factors had a positive effect on the adaptation of accountants in the digital age in the aspect of decision making aspect of achieving success, speed of execution and efficient use of resources Statistically significant at the 0.05 level.
