Health Enhancement Factors Affecting the Primary Health Standard of Local Administrations in Ubon Ratchathani Province.

Abstract

This research was a mixed method research between quantitative and qualitative method which aimed to study; 1) Health enhancement factors affecting the primary health standards of local administrative organizations in Ubon Ratchathani Province and 2) The pattern of health enhancement factors affecting the primary public health standards of local administrative organizations in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Quantitative research, samples were 400 people, instruments used was a 5-rating scale questionnaire with reliability value of .98 and statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation, and multiple linear regression.Quantitative research was proceeded by focus group discussion which informants were representatives from; 1) Government Agencies; 2) Village Health Volunteers; and; 3) The people who are the head of the household, 18 informants and content analysis were implemented. Research findings were; Health enhancement factors affecting the primary public health standards of local administrative organizations were statistically found in 2 factors at .05 level which were; Economy factor and Community strength factor, with low correlation level (R = .365) which may explain the primary public health standards of local administrative organizations in overall correctly of 37.60%. The pattern of health enhancement factors affecting the primary public health standards of local administrative organizations in Ubon Ratchathani Province was found consistent with the quantitative research results. In addition, focus group participants also had further opinion that affective factors should be consisted of 4 more additional factors which were 1) Politics factor 2) Education factor 3) Communication and Information factor and 4) Human resource factors.
