Factors Affecting Higher Education System in Thailand Today and Future Trends of Thai Education

Abstract
The three main issues examined were 1) to study Thai higher education, 2) to study factors affecting Thai education at present, and 3) to study trends in Thai education in the future. This paper is a research document content analysis. The results of the study for issue 1 in Thai higher education. There is student-centered teaching a learning management. There is a process to create the knowledge base of teachers to develop instructional materials as well as developing a teaching evaluation form for instructors. In regard to issue 2, factors which affect Thai education at present are related to technology, economic factors, bureaucratic factors, political factors and moral and ethical factors. In regard to issue 3, Trends in Thai education in the future under the National Education Plan Acts (Acts) need to be adjusted in terms of socio-economic aspects and dynamic politics.
