Abstract
Although, the Buddha’s doctrine is not directly the Science of Politics and Governance but there is important doctrine that is concerned with governing principle or public affairs administ These ten principles are ration which was displayed in many sutras also. The most important principle of Dhamma is the Thosaphitrajadham (virtues of the king) which is appeared in the Tripitaka, Volume 28, Suttantapitaka, Volume 20, Khuddaka Nikaya Jataka, Part 2 and named Mahahangsajataka that was explained to characteristic of the king who rules his country with happiness. The Thosaphitrajadham is procedure of the king or The principles of identity for the king that is consisted of 10 topics 1. Dana giving…etc. All of these ten principles are the Buddha’s teachings which is related to dominance, protection, surveillance and taking care of yourself and others. This virtues of the king can be applied to rulers of all levels, not only the king. If all the rulers could apply this principle of Dhamma to their controlee, they wil be a good governor and gain a good controlee also. However, the rulers must abide by this virtues of the king to be Attahita-sampatti that is to have achieved one’s own good and Parahita-pañipatti that is practice for the good or welfare of others. So this practice will be complete and truly successful for the public and society
