ATTITUDES OF LARGE-SCALE CHILI AGRICULTURIST TOWARDS SAVE FARMING IN NONG MUANG KHAI DISTRICT, PHRAE PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) To study the attitude level of large scale chili agriculturist towards safe 2) To compare the attitudes of large-scale chili agriculturist towards safe farming as classified by general information in terms of gender, age, education level, income, amount of debt, amount of land used in chili cultivation, experience of training in safe agriculture, chili yield per rai and the cost of planting chili. The subjects participating in this study were 128 members of large-scale chili agriculturist “Chili safety”. The test statistics used to analyze the collected data included weight mean score, standard deviation, t-test and One – Way ANOVA. The research results revealed that the attitude level of large-scale chili agriculturist towards save farming in Nong Muang Khai District, Phrae Province the overall were strongly agree. When considering each aspect were strongly agree according to the composition of the attitude in terms of, feeling about safe farming according to the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards, trusting about safe farming according to the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards and behavior of safe farming according to the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standard at the level of strongly agreed respectively. In terms of the comparison the attitudes of large-scale chili agriculturist towards safe farming In Nong Muang Khai District, Phrae Province, were classified by gender, age, education level, income, amount of debt, amount of land used for chili cultivation, experience of training in safe agriculture, chili yield per rai and cost of planting chili. It was showed that statistically significant differences were found in amount of debt and experience of training in safe agriculture toward the attitude level of large-scale chili agriculturist towards save farming received level at a significant at the 0.05. Others independent factors that no statistically significant difference was found in the level of opinions towards the attitude level of large-scale chili agriculturist towards save farming such as gender, age, education level, income, amount of land used for chili cultivation, chili yield per rai and cost of planting chili.
