OPINIONS OF INMATES ON WELFARE ARRANGEMENTS IN MEDICAL CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research. The objectives were: 1) to study the opinions of inmates on the welfare provision in correctional hospitals; 2) to compare the opinions of inmates on the welfare provision of correctional hospitals, classified by personal factors.The samples used in the study were already inmates in the final case. The 165 people who came to use the services in correctional hospitals were obtained by using the Taro Yamane sizing method by setting the criteria of the sample group at the 95 percent confidence level with a 5 percent error. as a questionnaire data analysis was performed by statistical percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviation Hypothesis test with statistic F – Test used to test the difference between personal factors with mean of 3 groups or more by one-way ANOVA analysis. Paired with the Sheffe method, the statistical significance was set at the .05 level. The results revealed that 1) Opinions of inmates on welfare Arrangements in Medical Correctional Institution The overall level is at a high level. 2) Inmates who are of age, education level before sentence and occupations before punishment were different. They had no different opinions on welfare Arrangements in Medical Correctional Institution. While inmates of different crime categories have different views on welfare Arrangements in Medical Correctional Institution statistically significant at the .05 level
