DEVELOPMENT ON A BORD GAME TO ENHANCE LEARNING DEVELOPMENT AND ATTITUDE TOWARD THAI LITERATURE OF SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract
This research designed and developed board games for use as supplementary media in improving student learning achievement and positive attitudes about learning Thai literature. Quantitative and qualitative research was done as a research and development model to obtain data statistically analyzed by arithmetic mean, percentage, standard deviation, and independent t-test. The game was designed based on the design thinking approach and was reviewed for board game quality by media and content experts. 30 samples tested the board game performance. The experiment was divided into three sessions during one week, with data collected by learning achievement testing of attitudes about learning Thai literature through board games, observing student behavior while playing board games, and interviews to obtain student opinions after playing the board games. Results of design, development and experimentation made it possible to design and develop a set of board games entitled Nirat Phu Khao Thong, containing basic elements and concepts in board game design, with high level input from media and content specialists. Target group experimentation revealed that after playing Nirat Phu Khao Thong board game about Thai literature, students produced significantly more extraordinary academic achievement than before at a significance level of .05 and their attitude that after playing Nirat Phu Khao Thong board game about Thai literature was at a extraordinary level.
