A guidelines to Enhancing student disciplines based on Trisikkhã principle In secondary schools of Saraburi province

Abstract

The thesis consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the conditions for enhancing student discipline of secondary school Saraburi province; 2) to create guidelines for enhancing student disciplines based on Trisikkha of secondary school Saraburi province. The study employed a mixed-method approach, with quantitative data collected from 306 persons in a group sample. A questionnaire with a reliability of 0.90 was the research instruments. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation. The qualitative method used semi-structured interview to collect data with 9 key informants. The obtained data were analyzed by content analysis. The research findings were as follows:  1. The conditions for enhancing student discipline of secondary school Saraburi province consists of 4 aspects overall were at the high level (  = 3.77, S.D. = 0.25). When considered in each aspect it was found that the highest was general regulations of students (  = 3.82, S.D. = 0.28) followed by showing respect for students (  = 3.79, S.D. = 0.44) concerning student behavior when in the school building (  = 3.75, S.D. = 0.30) and the lowest was concerning students’ behavior when in the classroom (  = 3.72, S.D. = 0.36) and 2. The guidelines for enhancing student disciplines based on Trisikkha of secondary school Saraburi province should processed in each aspect as follows: 1) General regulations of students’ aspect: Administrators should encourage the creation of an atmosphere filled with love and kindness by providing an environment conducive to strengthening student discipline. 2) Concerning students’ behavior when in the classroom aspect: Administrators should encourage students to listen to their opinions. Respect Having manners in the classroom Eating etiquette and maintaining good physical and verbal manners. Teachers should provide quiet corners for students to work attentively. 3) Concerning student behavior when in the school building aspect: Issue clear rules for conduct in school. Teachers emphasize that students behave in a good manner through organizing various activities for students to learn and practice on their own. Teachers should encourage students Have self-responsibility for students. 4)Showing respect for students’ aspect: Administrators and teachers should behave as good examples for students. Schools should organize morality camp projects to train and develop physical development. Speech for students to know the seasons There should be activities to encourage students to practice timing themselves with awareness before acting regularly.
