The Application of Computer for Education

Abstract

The computer was the electronic equipment built in calculating, remembering in the number and alphabets for working, managing the symbols with the high speed, comparing logically, sending and receiving the data, collecting the data, and processing data by hardware and software for the education.

This journal presented the application of computer for the education. The teaching and learning applied the new technologies and media such as Video on Demand: VOD, e-books, e-library, and e-learning. The application of computer for the education consisted of 4 main systems: 1) Computer for Education Administration, 2) Computer for Education Service, 3) Computer Assisted Instruction, and 4) Computer Literacy. Moreover, the application of computer for the education could develop the teaching and learning in 3 characteristics: 1) the learning tools, 2) reviewing the lessons, and 3) the tools for the practice. The application of the computer for teaching and learning helped to increase the knowledge for the teachers, the educational administration, and Computer-Managed Instruction: CMI.
