SCHOOL-BASED MANAGEMENT AFFECTING THE CREATION OF LEARNING ORGANIZATIONS OF SCHOOLS UNDER LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATIONS IN SUPHAN BURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) study the level of school-based management of schools under Local Administrative Organizations in Suphan Buri Province; 2) study the level of the creation of learning organizations of schools under Local Administrative Organizations in Suphan Buri Province; and 3) study school-based management which was considered as factors affecting the creation of learning organization of schools under Local Administrative Organizations in Suphan Buri Province. The research samples derived by proportional stratified random sampling were 160 school administrators, teachers and educational school committees of schools under Local Administrative Organizations in Suphan Buri Province which either received the Royal Awarded Recipient Schools from the Ministry of Education or reached the standard required by the Office of National Education Standards and Quality Assessment and achieved a good level. The research instrument was a questionnaire constructed by the researcher. Data were analyzed with percentage, mean, standard deviation and stepwise multiple regression.

        The findings of this research were as follows: 1) Overall and in specific aspects, school-based management of schools under Local Administrative Organizations in Suphan Buri Province was at a high level. 2) Overall and in specific aspects, the creation of learning organization of schools under Local Administrative Organizations in Suphan Buri Province was at a high level. 3) School-based management in aspects of the principle of self-management, the principle of overall system development, the principle of the returning of educational management power to people, the principle of decentralization of power, the principle of the checks and balances of power were considered as factors affecting the creation of learning organizations of schools under Local Administrative Organizations in Suphan Buri Province which were together predicted at the percentage of 84.90 with statistical significance at .05.
