POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY- BASED TOURISM MANAGEMENT: THE CASE OF KHAODIN SUB-DISTRICT, KAOLIAO DISTRICT, NAKONSAWAN PROVINCE

Abstract
The objective of this research was to study the demand in the potential development for sustainable community- based tourism management and the approaches for the development and promotion of the sustainable community- based tourism management at Khaodin Sub-district. This research applied the Mixed Methods Research consisting of the Quantitative Research and the Qualitative Research. The research tools were questionnaire, interview form and focus group. The quantitative data analysis used the Descriptive Statistics and the qualitative data analysis used the Content Analysis. The results of the research found that the demand in the potential development for management for sustainable community- based tourism in the development of tourist attraction was the promotion of occupation, making money and income distribution, and employment. The unique way of life and culture made the growth and the fame. The tourists and the people in the community learned, realized the value, cherished the local culture and tradition, developed the route and the tourist calendar, planned and decided together, managed the natural resources valueably, and improved the landscapes and the ecosystem etc. The participation in the development of for sustainable community- based tourism must use the participation from the public sector, the local and the community with the development of public utility for the access to the tourist attraction, having the guide posts to the tourist attraction. The organization group and the community co- conserved the tourist resources, provided the tourist activities in accord with the occupations and the culture way. The public sector and the local trained and gave the knowledge about the development, restoration and conservation of resources, prepared the places for facilitating to the tourists such as souvenir shop, restaurants, accommodation, and improving the information system and the public relations.
