คุณลักษณะ บทบาท และรูปแบบการสื่อสารของผู้สอนในมหาวิทยาลัยที่ถูกคาดหวังในบริบทการศึกษาแบบพหุวัฒนธรรมในสังคมไทย

Abstract

จากการสำรวจความคาดหวังของนักศึกษาในชั้นเรียนแบบพหุวัฒนธรรม พบว่า ระดับความคาดหวังต่อบทบาท คุณลักษณะ และรูปแบบการสื่อสารของผู้สอนสูงกว่าที่พบเห็น  นอกจากนี้ ยังพบความแตกต่างระหว่างความคาดหวังของนักศึกษากับของอาจารย์ผู้สอน และของนักศึกษาไทยกับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ  พบความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความคาดหวังกับตัวแปรบางตัว  รวมถึงผลจากความไม่สอดคล้องของความคาดหวัง  ขณะเดียวกัน พบความคาดหวังร่วมและความคาดหวังเฉพาะกลุ่มบางประการ รวมถึงทิศทางและแนวทางในการปรับบทบาท คุณลักษณะ และการสื่อสารของผู้สอนท่ามกลางความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมในยุคโลกาภิวัฒน์ จากการศึกษาในครั้งนี้

From exploring the expectation of students in multicultural classrooms, it is found that the level of students’ expectation towards the instructors’ roles, characteristics, and communication patterns is higher than those they perceive in class. Also, the following results are found:  differences between students’ and instructors’ expectation, and between Thai and foreign students’, the relationship between expectation and some variables, and effect of incongruous expectation. On the other hand, some shared and segmented expectation, direction of adaptation and guidelines for adjusting instructors’ roles, characteristics, and communication among cultural diversity in globalization era are also revealed from this study.
