Abstract

การศึกษาดนตรีร่วมสมัย : กรณีศึกษาวงกำไล เป็นการศึกษาประวัติความ เป็นมา และวิวัฒนาการ เอกลักษณ์ และผลงานของวงกำไล ซึ่งใช้วิธีการศึกษาโดย การค้นคว้าจากหนังสือ เอกสารและงานวิจัย รวบรวมข้อมูลภาคสนาม โดยวิธีทาง มานุษยดุริยางควิทยา โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ ดังนี้

1. เพื่อศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมา และวิวัฒนาการของวงกำไล

2. เพื่อศึกษาเอกลักษณ์ของวงกำไล

3. เพื่อศึกษาผลงานเพลง และผลงานการแสดงของวงกำไล

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า วงกำไลเป็นดนตรีร่วมสมัยเป็นดนตรีประเภทหนึ่ง ที่พบเห็นได้ในปัจจุบัน ดนตรีร่วมสมัยมีวิวัฒนาการของดนตรีมาจากดนตรีไทยเดิม ในระยะต่อมามีการพัฒนาดนตรีโดยนำเครื่องดนตรีทางตะวันตกเข้ามาผสม อารยธรรมตะวันตกเข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญมากในสมัยรัชกาลพระบาทสมเด็จ พระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว (รัชกาลที่ 3) จากนั้นมีบทบาทมากขึ้นจนทำให้คนไทยสามารถ นิยมดนตรีสากลได้ วงดนตรีร่วมสมัยที่เกิดขึ้นในยุคแรก คือ วงฟองนํ้า วงกังสดาล วงบอยไทย หลังจากนั้นได้เกิดวงดนตรีร่วมสมัยในลักษณะเดียวกันคือ วงกำไล ที่เป็น วงผู้หญิงล้วนวงแรกของประเทศไทย ก่อตั้งโดยคุณชัยยุทธ โตสง่า ศิลปินผู้มีชื่อเสียง ทางด้านดนตรีไทย การก่อตั้งวงกำไลมีแนวคิดมาจากวงดนตรีร่วมสมัยจากประเทศ จีนคือ วง “12 Girls Band” (Twelve Girls Band) ซึ่งเป็นวงดนตรีที่มีชื่อเสียงและ ได้รับความนิยมในประเทศจีน วงกำไลมีชื่อวงที่สามารถสื่อความหมายได้ 2 ทางคือ 1) แสดงความหมายถึงชื่อเครื่องประดับสำหรับสวมข้อมือหรือข้อเท้า ทำด้วยเงิน หรือทอง และ 2) แสดงความหมายถึงการมีกำไร การมีผลที่ได้เกินต้นทุน เป็นต้น ผู้ก่อตั้งวงกำไลกำหนดให้มีสมาชิก 9 คน เรียกว่า “นพรัตน์” หมายถึง “แก้ว 9 สี” แต่ปัจจุบันมีสมาชิกจำนวน 8 คน

เอกลักษณ์ของวงกำไลที่ปรากฏให้เห็น ได้แก่ รูปแบบการบรรเลงเครื่อง ดนตรี, รูปแบบการวางเครื่องดนตรี, ตำแหน่งการจัดวงดนตรี, วิธีการบรรเลงเครื่อง ดนตรี, ระดับเสียงในการบรรเลง, ชุดการแสดง, รูปแบบการแสดงของเพลง Field of Smiles และรูปแบบการแสดงเพลงจีนตอกไม้ เป็นต้น สำหรับการแสดงดนตรี ของวงกำไลในปัจจุบันมีบทบาทในด้านวัฒนธรรม, ด้านสังคม และด้านการท่องเที่ยว และกีฬา นับตั้งแต่ก่อตั้งวงกำไลขึ้นมา วงกำไลมีผลงานเพลงที่เป็นเพลงไทยเดิม เพลงป็อป (เพลงไทยสากล) ซึ่งนำเพลงมาทำขึ้นใหม่ และเพลงที่แต่งใหม่เพื่อต้องการ สื่อถึงวงกำไลโดยเฉพาะ วงกำไลมีผลงานการแสดงที่เป็นผลงานการแสดงทั้งใน ประเทศ และต่างประเทศ การแสดงมีในรูปแบบต่างๆ เช่น การแสดงคอนเสิร์ต การแสดงในเทศกาลสำคัญของไทย การแสดงพิธีเปิด/พิธีปิดกีฬา การแสดงเพื่อสาน ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ การแสดงงานเฉลิมฉลอง และการแสดงในงานมงคล
