Deconstructivism Innovative Application on Contemporary Chinese Ceramics

Abstract
The concept of deconstruction theory has spread into China and penetrated into various artistic fields. The objectives of this research are 1) to study the development and evolution of traditional Chinese ceramics in China 2) to study deconstruction theory and case studies to analyze the application of deconstruction theory in the field of ceramic art and other art fields. 3) analyze methods for developing styles, creative techniques, methods of expression and meaning of contemporary ceramic works. 4)create works of contemporary ceramic art by using the principles of deconstruction to develop concepts and techniques that are unique to the individual. In this study, literature research method, interdisciplinary research methods and case study analysis methods were used to collect and analyze comprehensive data. The results show that the application of deconstruction theory into modern ceramic art breaks the limits of traditional creative concepts, as well as change artistic concepts which let people to reconsider the value and meaning of traditional ceramics, and at last led to a new direction for the creation of modern ceramic art. At the same time, it also encourages modern people to use their own perspectives to understand and appreciate traditional ceramic art. Finally, this research will create work from the results of the study of techniques of the concept of deconstruction named "Starlight in the Sky".
