Abstract

This research aims to study Thai studies knowledge in China by surveying
information in China’s Weipu “VIP” database. It specifies on articles that is involed
with Thailand during 1989-2012. The study shows that in the past 23 years, there are
4,685 articles that present knowledge about Thai studies, divided into 5 sections:
Management and Economy, Social and Culture, Politics, Sciences and Technology,
and Languages and Literature.
From the study, the content and patterns of Thai studies presentation in
China are affected from 4 factors: International Policy, Economic Investment, Social
Variation, and Educational Cooperation between Thailand and China which are result
of China’s Government Policies in each period.
