A bibliometric analysis of Master’s theses relevant to Translation Studies in Thailand
Abstract
This paper reveals current trends and research perspectives of master’s theses relevance to TS between 1988 and 2014 in Thailand through a bibliometic analysis. The main findings from this survey indicate that number of master’s theses published was in decline. Master’s theses still focus primarily on a linguistic approach. The evidence will provide lectures/researchers with critical and useful views to consider how current translator education responds to needs of students and the marketplace, and how research on translation studies reflect the current state of society in Thailand.
