A study on the Attribute Types of modern Chinese Monosyllabic Self-motion Words

Self-motion words belong to the category of motion words. This paper takes the "Chinese Verb Usage Dictionary" compiled by Meng Cong and Zheng Huaide (1999) as the research scope, and compares and screens out 35 monosyllable self-motion words with [+self-moving] semantics. Using Talmy's motion event-frames theory, to study the connotation, extension and semantic types of modern Chinese monosyllable self-motion words. Extract the semantic characteristics related to the displacement elements, and classify them according to the semantic characteristics.
