Abstract

Wu Zhou arcade, the characteristics of Wu Zhou city and the carrier of its citizen's cultural memory, has a deep historical and cultural background. Being an important living place for Wu Zhou people, Arcade bears some people-oriented features. Wu Zhou arcade accumulated some kinds of deep urban stroll experience, which is of political significance and has specifically cultural traditions and some Aura characteristics in time and space. However, during the process of urban modernization, problems such as the loss of traditional arcade nostalgia space, the lack of stroll experience, cultural ruins due to arcade transformation, etc have arisen. The attention to the modernization of Wu Zhou arcade culture space has led to the reflections on the continuation of the historical traditions, the reconstruction of the daily life aesthetic and the preservation of the Aura characteristics of the arcade, etc. which inspire contemporary urban planning, architectural design, and urban culture construction.
