A RESEARCH FOR THE EVIDENCES OF THE EXISTENCE AND SPREAD OF HINAYANA BUDDHISM IN YUAN JIANG (HONGHE RIVER) BASIN
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to search for the evidences of the existence and spread of Hinayana Buddhism in Yuan jiang (Honghe River) basin by using the results of field research and literature review. From the view of religion and culture, this paper analyses the feature of cultural resource and its significance for ecological civilization construction and tourism development in purpose of developing the quality resource of Hinayana Buddhism which contains harmonization between human and nature, human and human, human and society, then contributing to the development of tourism culture industry in Minority Areas of Honghe River, the beautiful countryside construction and the ecological construction.
