Abstract

Abstract


          The objectives of this research are 1) to study transformational leadership, work motivation, employee engagement and the performance of the non-profit civil society service organization in the Rotary club, Bangkok and 2) to study work motivation and member engagement as the mediating factor linking the transformational leadership to the performance of a non-profit civil society service organization in the Rotary club, Bangkok. As the quantitative research by surveying, the population was a total of 1,228 people who were members of 18 Rotary clubs with more than 25 members. The sample consisted of 200 members of Rotary clubs in Bangkok under the Hair. et al., (2006, pp. 741 - 742) by using stratified sampling and simple random sampling. The research tool was a questionnaire. Statistics used include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and structural equation modeling (SEM) with the Smart PLS 3.0 program.


        As results, it was found that 1) members of a non-profit civil society service organization in the Rotary club, Bangkok has the overall mean is at a high level with the mean values of 4.30, 4.29, 4.32 and 4.30 respectively, and the standard deviations of 0.512, 0.513, 0.544 and 0.548 respectively and 2) the transformational leadership, work motivation and member engagement have a direct influence on performance with values of 0.405, 0.661, and 0.588, respectively. In addition, the transformational leaders also have an indirect influence on performance with a value of 0.532.
